4mm mirrors are perfect for furniture i.e. Wardrobe doors etc and for use in frames. 6mm mirrors are to be used for all other applications such as bathrooms, gym walls etc.

Foil backing is required on mirrors in wet rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens. If the mirror breaks it will be held together, it will also provide protection from any damp or water ingression to the silvering on the rear of the mirror.
